    Hi Paul

First I must say your template is really cool and your information around it are great!

I’m not a IT freak and code are not my world, but I’m trying to do as much as I can my self to build and optimize my new website http://www.paulaegerter.com.

    1) I noticed that I have a very high bounce rate (then tried to modify the template settings, the rolling of pictures, only put a static picture,…) but it stays high with 74%. I think a lot of people don’t notice the MENU or where it is. Are there any possibilies to make that menu button more visible? Ev. with a light animated color of the font or general animated button which scrolls down slightly “to show the menu is here” or anything thing else? And how?

I would quiet like to test that and see if the bounce rate drops down…

    2)
Could you provide a list of the best Plugins to use with your BILD Theme today?

    Have a great day!

    Hi Paul,

Putting a static picture should not significantly decrease the bounce rate. And overall the bounce rate is highly dependable on how relevant the site traffic is (who are the people that come to the website and how interested they are in what the website is about), how fast the website is loading from their location, and on a huge number of other factors.

The ‘hamburger’ menu is a pretty standard solution for minimalist aesthetics websites. Judging by the analytics of my own websites, there’s no difference between the bounce rates of the themes with the hamburger menu vs. the regular menu.

As for the plugins, I’d certainly recommend the ones that are mentioned in the User Guide, as well as this plugin that lets you control which part of an image is taken for the thumbnails with different aspect ratios — Post Thumbnail Editor. I definetely recommend this one.

    Regards,
    Paul
