    Hi

    So my site is coming along. But I can’t figure out for the life of me how to get this huge grey square out of the frame on my contact page. There is no thumnail image setting, not sure why that block of color is there: http://leeosbornestudio.com/contact/

    Please help! I would like it empty (no image) but worse case scenario can fill it with an image if empty is not possible.

    Hello Lee,

    Judging by the link you provided, you’ve already figured out that the grey area was an image placeholder.

    In case you actually wanted to have a contact page without a picture, please let me know and I will provide a small tweak that allows having a layout like this: http://bit.ly/2DwE9Jd.

    Hi Paul – I’m also having trouble with the grey placeholder on my website; I can’t find the option within my admin dashboard to fill it with a picture – but also, would like to know the small tweak to have a page layout like the one you linked here!

    Thanks a lot

    Gabriele,

    To add an image that is represented by this placeholder, please add a featured image to your project (or post, or page). For that please use the ‘Featured image’ metabox (see picture).

    If you don’t see this metabox in the edit screen, please click ‘Screen options’ and check the ‘Featured Image’ checkbox.

    And if you want your ‘Page alternative’ template to have no picture (or its placeholder) — like here, please use the following CSS:

    .page-template-page-alternative .entry-full {padding-top:3.8rem;}
    .entry-thumb-alternative_page {display: none;}

    You can add custom CSS with the Simple Custom CSS plugin. Once you install and activate it, in your Admin Panel please go to ‘Appearance’ > ‘Custom CSS’. There insert the code you see above and save.

    Regards,
    Paul
