    Hello Paul. I downloaded Bild yesterday for my photography website and I’m currently moving material over from my current website and blog. I would like to be able to set the posting date for blog posts to the date originally posted on my previous blog but can’t see how to do this. Is it possible to select a specific date? Also, is it possible to remove the Category text from a blog post?

    Thanks again for a great product and very helpful support site.

    Never mind. I discovered the method to change the date. Just the issue of the Category now.

    Hello Olli,

    To hide the category name from posts in blog (e.g. the word ‘Tips’ here), please use the following CSS:

    .mauer-blog-feed-framer .entry-cats {display: none;}

    You can add this code by going to ‘Appearance’ -> ‘Customize’ -> ‘Additional CSS’ in your Admin Panel. There you can just paste the above code and hit ‘Publish’.

    To hide ‘Category: ‘ from category archives (e.g. here) please go to ‘Appearance’ -> ‘Editor’, find the content-blog.php file, remove the line highlighted in this screenshot, and click the ‘Update file’ button.

    Regards,
    Paul

    A little disclaimer about editing the content-blog.php file: It’s best to do such customizations in a child theme or a custom plugin, so they do not get overwritten during theme updates. However, of course, you can always re-introduce them after a theme update.
