    Hi,

Stills template is amazing, but I have a few questions to make it better.

    1. I need to change URL slug for project categories (from “proj-cat” to custom one) and project detail (from “proj” to custom one). How can I set it?

    2. Is there any option to open project header image in lightbox with a title and description instead of opening project detail subpage?

    3. Does template work with Loco translate? I need to translate “All” in active project category filter.

Thank you very much for your support.

    Best regards,
    Radek

    Hi,

I still have not received the answer to my questions. Some have solved myself 🙁 and I have some new questions.

Ad 1) I’ve changed the Slugs in the functions.php file. However, this workaround is not ideal for overwriting the file with a future template update. I have a multilingual website and I need to translate slugs. Is it possible to use Loco or Polylang plugin for translation of these slugs? How can I translate the slugs?

Ad 2) I’m still waiting for the answer.

    Ad 3) I’ve solved it.

And the last question. I have a multilingual website and I need to have multiple language versions for “Portfolio welcome phrase”. How can I set them? This is not possible in template settings.

    Thank you
    Radek

    Hello Radek,

    1. As for making this change proof to future updates, the actual way to do that is to introduce these modifications in a child theme. Child themes don’t get overwritten during updates. Stills has been coded child-theme-ready.

    2. This template only works as a page that lists projects and provides links to them, same as in the theme demo. It does not work as a gallery with lightbox on click.

    3. To translate text like the Portfolio welcome phrase in a multilingual website, you should use a multilingual plugin like WPML (not to be confused with translation plugins like Loco). Please mind that this theme’s custom fields are powered by the ACF Pro plugin. And the authors of this plugin say that the only multilingual plugin that ACF Pro provides Options Page Compatibility with out-of-the-box is WPML.

    Regards,
    Paul
