    I really, really love and use the Bild theme, but one thing I need to get rid of – the preloader. For example if I want to have multiple images in my blog posts, it takes forever to preload, and I would much more appreciate if the browser handles the preloading “the old way”, e.g. one image by one.

    I know this must be possible, so can someone please explain me how? 🙂

    Once again thank you for such a great theme!

    Hello Jakub,

    It’s great to know that you like the theme. Thank you for choosing it for your work.

    Speaking of the preloader, this theme has actually been designed to work with preloader, removing it may make things look weird.

    I would measure the size (in MB) of the pages first. The problem may lay there. You can measure the page size with a number of tools, e.g. by pasting a URL of a slow page here and running the test (it’s free).

    I would also make sure that’s not a hosting issue.

    However, if you want to remove the preloader (which I don’t advise to do), please use this CSS code:

    .mauer-preloader {display: none!important;}

    You can add custom CSS with the Simple Custom CSS plugin. Once you install and activate it, in your Admin Panel please go to ‘Appearance’ > ‘Custom CSS’. There insert the code you see above and save.

    Regards,
    Paul
