I’ve read in other replies that this theme does not support 3 or 4 columns in galleries? is that correct?
Some of my galleries have spaces in blank because of the width of the images, and in some cases I need to set an order so I can’t change image positions.
Please advice on how to solve this issue. This is an example: http://www.adf-photo.carlamelgar.com/bajofondo-mercedes-fittipaldi/
Thanks, best regads,

This theme automatically stacks gallery images previews into rows of 2 or 3 — depending on whether the gallery has an odd or even number of images. Changing 2/3 to 3/4 would require code customizations (not included into theme support according to ThemeForest rules).
As for the blank space, like here:
You need to use images that are bigger than 526×526 for the galleries to work properly. Here is the full version of a pic from a gallery — it’s just 450×602, it’s width is too small.
You actually don’t need to resize anything manually before uploading — WordPress automatically generates all the sizes of an image used in the currently active theme once you upload the image. So there’s no need to manually resize images before uploading them to your site running the Essentialist. Just upload the biggest pictures you have (let’s say 1920×1440), and WordPress will do the rest for you — creating copies of the image in all the needed sizes including the one for the big first image.

Thanks for your response.
I also follow your recommendation and use Jetpack, thinking I can get better galleries, but Jetpack still super heavy and slow down the theme a lot. I tryed to disable all modules I don’t use but after I wait 3 minutos to open a post I deactivated it and deleted it. I’ve gived Jetpack a lot of opportunities with different themes and servers but it always slow down websits.
Just to let you know. I don’t know If I’m the only one with this issue.
I’ll continue searching a plugin for galleries.
Thanks and best regards,

I see that you want to have galleries with a different number of columns, however this is not offered with this theme (and is not advertised anywhere). The theme puts your images in 2 columns and makes the last row have 3 columns if the number of images uploaded to a gallery is odd.
Please make sure to use bigger images to not have the blank space appear in between images like here. I’ve posted the solution above in this thread.
