Hello … I purchased your theme and am having issues with image rendering. Seems to look fine in Safari and Firefox for the Mac but renders differently (lots of what looks to be compression noise in the image) in Google Chrome. I am sending you a link to the page here for you to see for yourself. I need to resolve this ASAP as I have a photography show opening next Monday and need to have the site up and looking consistent across browsers by the weekend. If this is not possible to fix I will need a refund. Thank.

    Hello Highermonkey,

This theme actually does not alter the way WordPress creates thumbnails of images in any way. It’s out of theme’s code scope. All it does is registers the thumbs sizes.

And these are the same images that you are looking at in Chrome, Safari or any other browser — meaning the actual files are the same. Here is the link to a file of yours outside of the theme: http://bit.ly/2tRWsV1.

Can you please look at the demo — bild.mauer.co in different browsers and let me know if you have the same issues with the pictures in it?

Also, if you are using Photon Jetpack module, I recommend turning it off. Jetpack’s Photon does not play very well with RoyalSlider module, which powers the sliders in this theme.

    Regards,
    Paul

Paul thanks for the response … I did look at the link of my image you sent in both Safari and Google Chrome … and it is still having the same issue … I will screen shot each browser window and highlight the area of the distortion within Chrome so you can see what I am talking about … here is a link to the images … you will find one from Chrome and one from safari…I have highlighted the distorted area on the Chrome screen shot: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p1taa2nieey32l7/AACxX8lGQwFZU6gYku2q0v6Ea?dl=0

Please turn off Jetpack Photon. It’s not the theme that’s resizing your images right now. It is Jetpack Photon module.

Turning that off seemed to solve the issue. Thank you very much.
