Trying to install into a new WP install (no plugins) on 1and1 Linux host and no go. Tried on a GoDaddy WP Install and no go either?? Both are on the newest versions of WP.
Monkeying around I got a little further on GoDaddy but now get “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.” error. The php.ini has upload_max_filesize set at 256M and still no go.
This does not seem to be related to the theme itself. I mean if you are having that type of issue, you would fail installing any theme from a zip.
Let me suggest the following workaround:
Can you please try to unzip the installable theme file (mauer-bild.zip) on your computer and then upload the mauer-bild folder over FTP (into wp-content/themes/ of your installation).
You can not update the ACF Pro plugin on your own because its license does not allow that — if you got a copy of the plugin as part of a theme. You’d need to directly buy a license for ACF PRO to be able to update it, however the changes in the latest version of the ACF PRO are really minor and don’t affect the performance of the theme in any way. So I would not say it’s worth the hassle.
I update the version of ACF PRO bundled with the theme with every theme update.
Thank you for having chosen Bild for your project.
