    hi,

how do I rename and/or remove/change the titles for the tags for allowing to choose “All” portfolios?

I’d like for example rename “All” to something else…

    Portfolio

    thanks!

    Hello Afeija,

Speaking about translating static phrases like “read more”, or “older posts”, or “all”,

This theme is translation-ready in a regular WordPress fashion. That means it comes with a language file which has all the default texts.

That said, I believe the easiest way of translating a theme is by using the Loco Translate plugin.

After you install and activate it, in your Admin Panel please go to ‘Loco Translate’ > ‘Themes’ > ‘Mauer Essentialist’ and click ‘New Language’.

Select your language (in this example it’s ‘Portuguese’, please choose Swedish for your website). And click ‘Start translating’:

You will see a list of all the strings ready to be translated. Here is how it looks:

When you’re done translating, click ‘Save’ and ‘Sync’.

Now if you have your WordPress language set to (in this example) Portuguese*, then your website will display the translated strings.

    _______

* — ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Site language’ (at the bottom).

    Regards,
    Paul

    P.S.

If you want to just remove the ‘All’ link from Portfolio/Galleries categories menu, you can use the following CSS:

    .cat-item-all {display:none!important;}

You can add custom CSS with the Simple Custom CSS plugin. Once you install and activate it, in your Admin Panel please go to ‘Appearance’ > ‘Custom CSS’. There insert the code you see above and save.

Regarding the question you asked in the email:

First of all, you do not need to translate everything. I would suggest you translate what you see on the website (front end, not the Admin Panel).

Then, as for the strings like “%1$s installed and activated successfully”, you should leave the funky stuff and translate what you see in English. So, for instance, a translated string would look like “%1$s insticksprogram installerade och aktiverade framgångsrikt.”

    You are very welcome.

If you enjoy the theme (or the support), I would be really grateful if you could rate it on ThemeForest. This literally takes a moment and helps a lot. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Paul
