I recently bought the theme and I love it. I just want to know if it’s possible to make the instagram post previews of equal sizes? At the moment, take a look on my site: http://www.andreipurcarea.ro
They are of different sizes. I would like them all to be square and equal sized. Let me know if it’s possible to fix it.
All of best and great work with the theme!

Please excuse me for late reply.
As for displaying non-square Instagram images as squares, I have just sent you an email to andreimihaipurcarea at gmail.com with a file that you need to replace in the theme to achieve that. Please see the instructions in the email.

how can i get the widget to display images the whole width of the site? currently it’s 2 rows 3 columns at the moment, i would like to change it to 6-10 images across. sorry for the simple question, i am learning, thanks for your help.May 4, 2020 at 6:03 pm #3837
If you are talking about the Instagram widget at the bottom of the website, there are no special actions required to make it display in one line, just as you see in the demo — link. If you are still experiencing this issue, please let me know the address of your website, and I will investigate the possible reasons for the 2×3 layout.
As for making this 6—10 images, instead of the 12, this can be done, however, there is not a setting for that in the interface. You can do that by going to ‘Appearance’ > ‘Theme Editor’, selecting ‘Mauer Essentialist’, /js/general.js
There find the line (should be around line 100 of the file):
var nuOfPics = 12; // use an even number
And change 12 to any even number. Then click ‘Update file’.
Here is a quick visual guide to the above: see image.

Hi Paul thanks for your reply. I downloaded the instagram widget and when i go to Customize > Widgets > it gives the option of bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. It’s currently sitting on bottom cetner and has the weird 2×3 layout. The site is joymeetsworld.co let me know if there’s a way to fix it thanks!June 18, 2020 at 4:34 pm #3982
Hi Paul, trying again!July 2, 2020 at 4:41 pm #4006
With a widget, you can not have the Instagram images displayed across the page. They can only occupy the space of the widget and can not go outside.
You could use the Instagram functionality of the theme to have your posts displayed across the page (instead of using a third-party plugin). And my reply above was applicable to this solution. That would look like so:
However, Instagram has just changed its API on June the 1st, and the display of Instagram posts is not working in the theme anymore. I’m sorting this out now and will issue a theme update soon that will fix this.
So please check your email for notifications on the theme update, then download and updated version of the theme, follow the user guide and set up the Instagram reel at the bottom of the page.
